The 23 is an upgraded (slightly) version of the 22. A couple more peripheral gadgets..... same HP, same weight and performance specs. ....

The BX23 comes with the 4 way valve as standard for the FEL (its an option on the BX22). Its also mounted to the FEL, not the tractor, as on the BX22. The BX23 also has a higher backed seat. Other than that, they're the same (I think). ....

Not to be picky, but in the interest of clarity..... on the BX22 when you detached the loader you left the valve (3 way or 4 way) behind on the loader .
If you needed it to run a blade, blower or broom you had to pull some pins and re-attach it to the tractor in a separate operation.
On the BX23 it stays on the upright support when you dismount the loader. This is a very nice feature and much cleaner to deal with as compared to handling a bunch of greasy pins. ....

Thanks, Mark. DUH! What was I thinkin' (drinkin')? Yes, the valve is attached to the FEL on the BX22, not the tractor. ....
